It is not a tour through the Twente landscape: from the fair the participants ride a lap through the centre of Haaksbergen and then back to the fair. Several laps are ridden during the afternoon.

Sunday 16 May 2027 · 11th edition

International motor tour Rijden voor Geluk

On Sunday 16 May 2027 the 11th edition of the international motor tour Rijden voor Geluk takes place. This special tour of about 65 kilometres leads criss-cross through Haaksbergen and the immediate surroundings. The motor tour is accessible to all types of motorcycles and trikes. It is not compulsory for participants to take someone along as a passenger.

A special tour for special passengers

During Rijden voor Geluk people with a disability ride along on the back of a trike or Can-Am, or in the sidecar of a motorcycle. In addition, Wish Ambulance Haaksbergen and surroundings rides along, together with as many wish ambulances as possible from all corners of the Netherlands.

In these ambulances ride patients who, because of their health, can no longer sit on a motorcycle or trike. People can also take part for whom experiencing a motor tour one more time is a last wish.

The patients in the wish ambulances do not have to miss anything of the tour. Via a television screen in the ambulance they can follow the motor tour and everything that happens along the way live.

Goosebump moments along the route

Every year we ride the same route. As a result, many residents and visitors now know exactly where the procession passes. Along the route there are therefore particularly many spectators every year who wave enthusiastically at the participants and applaud for them.

The involvement of the public and the heart-warming welcome along the road provide unforgettable goosebump moments every year again.
