On Saturday the largest May fair of Haaksbergen with the Trike-Sidecar Motor-Run, on Sunday the 11th international motorcycle tour of 65 kilometres.

Rijden voor Geluk is organised by Stichting Rijden voor Geluk WensAmbulance Haaksbergen.
For our foundation, organising a beautiful, accessible and meaningful event comes first. Making a profit from the event is not our goal.
Rijden voor Geluk can only take place thanks to the commitment of volunteers, trike riders, sidecar riders, partners, suppliers, sponsors and other people involved.
Our foundation incurs costs itself to make the event possible and to support and thank the people who give their time without payment in a fitting way.
Unpaid commitment
Our trike and sidecar riders
The trike and sidecar riders are an important part of Rijden voor Geluk. They give their time without payment during the event and make their time, vehicle and effort available to give participants a special experience.
To make their commitment throughout the weekend possible and as a token of appreciation, Stichting Rijden voor Geluk WensAmbulance Haaksbergen bears various costs itself. The foundation offers the participating trike and sidecar riders, among other things:
- Free overnight stays at Camping Scholtenhagen
- A portion of fries with a snack
- Participation in the shared BBQ
These provisions are paid for by the foundation and offered free of charge to the trike and sidecar riders concerned. This is not a commercial sale or package. The foundation receives no payment for this from the trike and sidecar riders.
Camping ScholtenhagenAppreciation & care
Appreciation, care and programme for participants and volunteers
The trike and sidecar riders give their time without payment throughout the whole weekend to help us make a wonderful event possible. Their commitment, enthusiasm and involvement are of great value to the foundation.
Trike and sidecar riders who stay overnight
As every year, the foundation covers the cost of the overnight stay at Camping Scholtenhagen, as a token of appreciation, for the trike and sidecar riders who stay overnight during the weekend.
During the Trike-Sidecar Motor-Run on Saturday afternoon they are provided with fries and a snack and receive tokens for soft drinks.
On Sunday evening they are warmly welcome to join the shared BBQ free of charge. Afterwards they can take a seat in the hall for a convivial party evening with live artists from the region.
Trike and sidecar riders without an overnight stay
The same appreciation applies to the trike and sidecar riders who do not stay overnight but give their time without payment on both days. They too receive fries with a snack and tokens for soft drinks on Saturday afternoon, can join the BBQ free of charge on Sunday evening and are warmly welcome at the party evening afterwards.
VKR and our other volunteers
The VKR and our other volunteers also give their time without payment to make the event a success. The VKR volunteers who support us on both days receive a generously filled lunch package and tokens for soft drinks on Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday evening they too can join the BBQ free of charge and afterwards attend the party evening with live artists from the region.
International Tour Ride
International Tour Ride - Rijden voor Geluk
On Sunday, the first day of Whitsun, the International Tour Ride Rijden voor Geluk takes place. All participants in this tour ride are also given a hospitable welcome and a convivial finish.
On arrival there is a drinks van where participants can get coffee and tea. Sandwiches are also available, so everyone can start the tour ride well looked after. The drinks van and its sales are run by the venue provider; the coffee, tea and sandwiches are at your own expense and are not free.
On returning from the international tour ride, the fries van is ready and participants can enjoy fries and a snack. The fries van is also run by the venue provider; these items are at your own expense.
It also stays convivial on the event grounds after the ride. There is music and entertainment on the stage until 17.00, so participants, visitors and volunteers can enjoy a beautiful tour ride and an atmospheric afternoon together.
With all these provisions the foundation wants to show how important the commitment and presence of the trike riders, sidecar riders, VKR, other volunteers and participants of Rijden voor Geluk are. Together they make sure the event becomes a special, convivial and connecting weekend year after year.
Weekend package by the Haaksbergsche Schutterij · 14 to 17 May 2027
Make it a convivial long weekend
Reserve a 4-day or 3-day weekend package by the Haaksbergsche Schutterij at Park Groot Scholtenhagen via our website. Both packages include the Sunday evening barbecue for free. No package? Then simply join the separate Sunday evening BBQ. Reserve easily online and pay securely right away; you will then automatically receive a ticket with QR code.

Ride along on the international tour
Take part in the International Trike-Sidecar Motor-Run on Saturday or the big international motorcycle tour Rijden voor Geluk on Sunday. Participation is free, register online and receive a confirmation by email.

Stand at the fair: reserve a market stall or ground spot
During the fair at Park Scholtenhagen there is space for stallholders. Via our website you can easily reserve a market stall (4 metres with a roof) from the external stall rental company or a ground spot and pay securely right away. You will then automatically receive a ticket with QR code for at the entrance.

The market stalls are supplied and rented out by an external stall rental company. Our foundation provides the booking via this website; the price is set by the rental company and the full proceeds intended for the stall rental go to the rental company. Our foundation receives no commission, mark-up or profit margin on this.

What our foundation stands for
Stichting Rijden voor Geluk WensAmbulance Haaksbergen organises Rijden voor Geluk from its social mission.
We consider the quality, accessibility and meaning of the event more important than making a financial profit.
That is why the foundation invests in the provisions needed to make the event possible. Among other things, the foundation bears the costs of overnight stays and meals for trike and sidecar riders who give their time without payment during the event.
We also work with external providers. When services from these partners are offered via our website, such as weekend packages or stall rental, we make clear who the actual provider is.
On the mentioned weekend packages and stall rental, Stichting Rijden voor Geluk WensAmbulance Haaksbergen receives no commission, mark-up or profit margin.
Our resources are used for our social mission and to make Rijden voor Geluk possible.
