An Unforgettable 60th Birthday for Rob
Sometimes it’s the little things that make a day truly special. For Rob, his 60th birthday became one he'll never forget!
After a serious motorcycle accident on July 26, Rob’s life changed drastically. After a long hospital stay, he is currently recovering at Het Wiedenbroek. But he still had one wish: to treat his colleagues at Tuinte on his 60th birthday.
Together with his family and employer, we were able to make this wish come true. At Tuinte, we were warmly welcomed by his colleagues. Over coffee and cake, his birthday was celebrated, and he even got a tour to admire the latest machine.
But the day still held more beautiful moments…
On the way back, we decided to take the bike route that Rob usually rides from work to home. Thanks to our dashcam and the screen in the back of the ambulance, he could follow the entire route himself. This way, all the familiar spots passed by once again.
Along the way, we made a stop at an aunt’s house, who was able to congratulate Rob personally in the ambulance.
And then came another lovely moment: After almost three months, Rob could finally step back into his own home. Just being home again, in his familiar surroundings. And of course, a warm hug with his dog Truus was not to be missed! A very special moment.
