One wish became a special day for twelve people

On Sunday, September 6, 2026, we experienced a day we won't soon forget.

Michel had been looking forward to our annual tour for a whole year. Unfortunately, two days before the ride, he was urgently admitted to the hospital and had to undergo a major operation. The tour he had been so excited about, he had to miss.

When his health allowed again, we decided to organize a special extra tour for Michel as part of our 10-year anniversary. After a call to motorcycle, trike, sidecar, and Can-Am drivers, over a hundred riders came to Haaksbergen to make sure he still got that special day.

At Frans op den Bult, eleven other wish passengers joined. Our WensAmbulance also participated with a patient. This way, the ride became a day full of freedom, joy, and beautiful memories not only for Michel but for a total of twelve people.

Michel was given an honorary seat on the back of Ronnie Udink's trike. Then the long procession set off on a beautiful route through Twente. Along the way, people waved, laughed, and sang along with De Engelbewaarder. Everywhere along the route, people watched and waved.

Afterwards, the day was cozily concluded at Michel’s parents’ home with some snacks and drinks. People chatted, laughed, and looked back on a special ride.

What started as one wish grew into a day on which twelve people could momentarily forget their worries and, above all, enjoy themselves.

Our thanks go out to all riders, traffic controllers, volunteers, sponsors, caregivers, family members, and everyone who helped make this day possible.

Dear Michel, this ride was for you. Thanks to you, we were able to add eleven other special memories together. 💛
