After 65 Years Together, Finally Experience the Dutch Sea!
Last Tuesday, we were able to fulfill a very special wish with our WensAmbulance.
A couple who recently celebrated 65 years of marriage wanted to visit the sea together one more time. In the past, they regularly went on vacation abroad with their camper, but Mrs. (89) had never seen the Dutch beach and the North Sea.
Since Mrs. now lives in a nursing home and her husband still lives at home, unfortunately, they cannot be together every day anymore. All the more reason to create this special day for them together!
And how lucky we were with the weather! ☀️
Upon arrival in Katwijk aan Zee, the sun came out. We took the beach wheelchair onto the sand, all the way to the water. Enjoying the waves, the fresh sea air, and of course each other's company!
Afterwards, it was wonderful to relax on the sunny terrace of Strandpaviljoen Zee en Zon, where we savored some snacks and drinks while reflecting on the day. As a beautiful keepsake, they also received a special memento to take home. 💛
